A floor system built in layers

A floor system shown in four layers, top to bottom: polyaspartic top coat, decorative flake in the Orbit blend, polyurea base coat, and prepared concrete.
Polyaspartic top coat

A clear, protective finish that helps resist everyday wear, spills, and UV exposure, and makes the floor easier to clean.

Decorative flake

Adds color and texture, helps hide dust and small marks, and can add traction.

Polyurea base coat

Bonds the system to prepared concrete and builds a durable foundation for the floor.

Prepared concrete

The surface is ground and cracks are repaired before coating.

Frequently asked questions

Where does Groundwell install?

Call or email us with your address and we will confirm whether we serve your area.

How much does a garage floor coating cost?

Your price depends on your garage size and the finish you choose. Call or email us, or use the contact form, and we will send your estimate.

What does the $100 booking payment do?

It goes toward your project total and holds your requested installation week. We’ll confirm your installation date with you in writing.

When will you confirm my garage measurements?

Our crew will confirm your measurements and selected finish when they arrive for installation.

What if the measurements change my price?

If the measured area increases the price, we’ll review the updated total with you and get your written approval before work begins. If you don’t approve the increase, we’ll cancel the project and refund your booking payment. If the measured area is smaller and reduces the price by at least $25, we’ll lower your total.

Can I cancel and get my booking payment back?

You can cancel for a full refund through midnight of the third business day after your contract date. After that, the booking payment is generally nonrefundable, subject to the exceptions in your agreement.

How long until I can use my garage again?

Most installations are completed in one day. The full cure period is five days:

  • Keep the garage door open for the first 24 hours.
  • Wait 48 hours before walking on the floor.
  • Wait five days before driving on it or returning belongings.
How do I prepare my garage?

Please clear and dry the garage before installation. Our crew will grind the concrete, repair cracks, and prepare the surface before applying the coating.

Do you move or store garage items?

No. Please clear the garage before installation. Keep vehicles and belongings off the new floor for five days afterward, so plan to store them at home, with family, or in a storage unit or portable container.

What’s the difference between epoxy and Groundwell’s coating system?

They use different coating materials. Groundwell applies a polyurea base coat, decorative flake, and a polyaspartic top coat that provides UV protection and an easy-to-clean surface.

Why choose Groundwell instead of a store-bought epoxy kit?

With a DIY kit, you handle the concrete prep, repairs, and application yourself. Groundwell’s crew takes care of the preparation and installation, so you don’t have to buy equipment or do the work yourself.

Do you install year-round?

Yes. We install year-round, and temperature is not a scheduling concern. Rain may delay installation. If weather affects your date, we’ll contact you to coordinate a new time.

Do you coat commercial spaces, patios, or pool decks?

We consider commercial projects and other concrete spaces, including workshops, patios, and pool decks. Email with the project address, photos, and approximate dimensions or square footage. We’ll review the space and let you know if it’s a fit for a custom proposal.
